This collection of portraits was taken at a protest for media freedom in Sri Lanka on the 28th of January 2014. It was organised by the opposition parties after years of abductions and disappearances of journalists and other media personnel critical of the government.

The aim is to capture the emotions and thoughts of both the protesters and those assigned by the government to contain them through their eyes and facial expressions.
